We went to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum on Monday. Haylie had such a blast playing in the "motion" room, running through the museum and playing in the sand and water at the end!

Christmas

At our Ward Christmas breakfast.

We flew to Utah on Wednesday and spent time with mine and Jake's parents.
Thursday, more family time, a bit of Christmas shopping and Haylie and I went shopping with my mom that afternoon for some clothes for me! Jake got to play lots of basketball with his brothers, which he loves doing.
Friday is when Heather, Tom and Shelby got into town and we all went to see the Christmas lights at Temple Square. It was quite chilly and a bit crowded but the lights are always so beautiful. I love seeing the temple and the navitity scene out there on the water.
Saturday (Christmas Eve) we spent some time with Jake's grandparents and they got to get to know Haylie a bit better without so much family chaos around. It was great to spend that one on one time with them. Then, that evening was the Taylor Family party. I need to get the pictures from my phone on here eventually of that night. We had delicious food, lots of chatting and laughing, a tie exchange, dessert exchange, cousin gift exchange, cousins in their matching jammies and nightgowns and an all around fun night. Haylie is usually overwhelmed with Taylor gatherings because there are a lot of people around that she isn't too familiar with yet but she was eating up all her time with her cousin friends this night! She loves being with older kids. I'm so grateful for sweet nieces and nephews who are adorable with her and take good care of her. I wish she was able to see them more often and create strong friendships with them. Jake got a new pair of awesome work gloves from his parents, Haylie got a Tinkerbell nightgown and I got a beautiful pair of pink pearl earrings! I looove them!
We then went back to my parent's house to open our Christmas Eve Jammies and go to sleep!

I love that Christmas was on a Sunday this year. We were able to attend church with Haylie's Nana, Papa, Aunt Kelly, Aunt Candace, Uncle Judd and cousin Mya! It was great to be in church with them and to hear the beautiful music performed. Their ward had a great choir! We spent some more time at Jake's parent's house and then had a big turkey dinner with my family before heading out to my grandparent's house to see everyone there.
It was such a wonderful, perfect Christmas. We're grateful for the amazing family members we have who love and support us.

Thanksgiving

Here is my brand new stove we got just before Thanksgiving this year. It certainly passed the test with flying colors! It kept up with the cooking of our feast and everything tasted great! I love it. :)

We had our friend's the Vander Vloedt's over for dinner this year. Here is Korey and I working hard in the kitchen!

Disneyland and CA 2011

For my "family reunion" we decided to make another trip to CA for some more Disneyland fun together!
This is in the car in the parking garage just getting to Disneyland.

I took this picture in the same place just getting to Disneyland for her first time last year. Look at how much she's grown!

The longest, hottest line I stood in was waiting to take Haylie to meet Princess Rapunzel. I wish I hadn't wasted the time. Normally the princesses are so sweet and really into their character but this girl didn't seem into it at all. Oh well. Here's the photo that I stood in line forever for.

All the other lines for the rides were so short! I think we waited for about 15-20 minutes at the most. It was the PERFECT time to be there! However, Pirates and the big Screamin' rollercoaster were both closed while we were there so that was a bummer.
Haylie LOVED Dumbo! When we came back down out of the air to get off the ride Haylie signed "more" while asking for "more fly? more fly?". It was so sweet!

We watched the amazing World of Color show that night before heading back to the hotel. That was the end of day one at Disneyland!

We spent the next day relaxing on the beach and swimming at the hotel pool!

The next day was back to Disneyland! We had to grab a picture by the big Mickey Jack-o-lantern since we were there while it was decorated for Halloween!

Shelby decided to acknowledge Haylie quite a few times on this trip! ;) Here they are discussing the water fountains they were about to run through.

This is one of my favorite memories of the trip for some reason. I bought corn on the cob and was munching on it while walking around. While my sister ran to the bathroom I was offering bites to Haylie and asked Shelby if she wanted some too. So, we sat there all taking turns munching some corn on the cob together. It was so cute and fun. I love these girls.
Haylie's pants got wet from the fountains I mentioned in the last picture so I took them off her to dry in the sun so that's why she is hanging out in a diaper in this photo. ;)

We were also able to watch the cutest parade that night that Haylie sat in awe while watching. We stayed there until the park closed, the streets were so empty! Heather and I took this opportunity to run all around pushing our strollers through the empty main street! ;)
The next day was spent relaxing, swimming in the hotel pool again and going out to eat! We had a fun trip!
Then it was time to head home and get back to everyday life!

In June we were able to fly to Utah and see lots of family!
We flew in to SLC and stayed at my parent's house for the night.
Grandpa made Haylie her very own delicious hamburger. She loved having her very own!

We then drove down to Cedar City to visit my grandma Garner since she had never met Haylie yet which meant that I hadn't seen her in a while!
Haylie had fun playing in her backyard just like I did when I was little. :)

I'm so glad we made the effort to drive the extra distance to see my grandma Garner. It was so great to see her and to have her meet Haylie Mae who got her middle name from my grandma. I'm especially grateful for this visit since my grandma passed away in August, just two months after visiting her. I'm thankful to have known her and for all the things she has taught me.

After leaving grandma's house, we headed up to Brian Head where we met up with the whole Taylor family for our big yearly family reunion.
We stayed in an awesome cabin with lots of space and lots of family! Haylie enjoyed this family reunion a lot more then last year. She loved all the attention she was getting from all her sweet cousins!

We celebrated my niece's birthday on friday and then my birthday was saturday! We had yummy treats and got to sing Happy Birthday twice.
We ate some delicious meals together.
Haylie had a blast with her other little girl cousins as they splashed around in the giant bathtub together! They were all so darling.

It was such a fun time. We can't wait to see everyone again at Christmas time!

We then drove back up to Utah County, stopping at Cove Fort along the way. It was nice to get out, stretch our legs and enjoy the awesome guided tour through Cove Fort while I snapped photos. I'll have to post some of those another time.

The next day we took Haylie to the pool in Lindon. It was such a cute place and Haylie had a great time there. We got to have Haylie's grandma and Nana come join the fun!

She's such a daredevil. Haylie decided that sliding on her bum was way too slow so she started turning backwards and zooming down on her hands and knees! She's a fearless wild child for sure.

We were able to go out and spend time with Jake's Chris-mom and Poppy and have them spend time with Haylie.

Haylie was so spoiled by all her family during this week! She was eating it up.

We had a wonderful trip and it was so great how much family we were able to spend time with and all the fun things we could do. It was also amazing that Haylie survived driving in the car for that long! :)

For another playgroup, we all met up at the Hand's on Museum. Haylie had so much fun exploring new things and wandering all over. This place is so fun and I can't wait for the new one to open up! We'll have to go check it out.

We went to Jumping Jacks for play group one morning and Haylie LOVED it!
Haylie loved jumping and climbing all over everything.
One of her favorite things was the huge slide! I'm sure she would have gone down it hundreds of times on her own if she didn't need my help getting up there.

Nisqually Wildlife Refuge

There is a neat wildlife refuge just down the hill from our house. We went for a walk as a family down there and Haylie was loving being able to explore so many new things!

She was running all over the boardwalks!

Haylie didn't spend much time in her stroller. Instead, she wanted to push the stroller herself.

Mother's Day

Great Wolf Lodge

As a family, we decided that we really needed a vacation. There is an awesome place just 30 minutes south of us called the Great Wolf Lodge where you can get a hotel room for a night and you have unlimited access to their indoor pools and slides, restaurants and gift shops. So, we headed there for a little mini "stay-cation". We drove down on a monday afternoon, got checked in, threw on our swim suits and headed for the water!

Haylie wasn't so sure about the water at first but we ended up pulling her away kicking and screaming by the end of the day! She was loving the water.

We went back to our room and got cleaned up before heading to get some dinner. Haylie got these cute wolf ears with her dinner. She actually kept them on a lot longer then I thought she would!

We stopped at their little dessert shop after dinner and got brownie ice cream sundaes. Haylie was hanging out with her favorite bear again.

Jake and I watched the newest Harry Potter movie in our room while Haylie slept since I hadn't watched it yet.

We woke up the next morning, threw on our flip flops and headed to the breakfast buffet! We filled our bellies, got our swim suits on and headed back for the water!

More playtime with Dad!

Haylie was getting tired and cranky at this point and was ready for her nap. So, we took her up to our room, gave her a bath and laid her down for a nap. There were slides for adults that you ride down in tubes at the park. Two of them you could ride as a single rider so Jake and I would take turns watching Haylie while the other went down those slides. The other two were for groups of 2-4 people so we would have had to ask strangers if we could ride down with their family.. awkward! ;) I was hoping to be able to ride the bigger ones with Jake so after Haylie was asleep, we called Jake's phone from my phone, left Jake's phone there by Haylie's pack-n-play and took my phone with us on mute so we could hear her but she wouldn't be able to hear us. We brought our "baby monitor" with us down to the park and put it in our bag to check on Haylie in between slides! I hope that made sense. So, Jake and I were able to go back down to the water park for a bit and do the bigger slides together while Haylie slumbered! It was fantastic.
We headed back to the room, got cleaned up while Haylie finished her nap, packed up our stuff and headed back home that afternoon! It was such a fun and needed quick trip. We love the memories we created while being there.

Both Haylie's grandma and her nana had awesome little chairs that were just her size while we were visiting Utah. (both of which she gracefully fell out of) ;)

So, when we got home, I was on the hunt for a little chair that was just Haylie's size. I happened to find the perfect one!
She had to check it all out first.

Then decided to break it in by reading a good book while sitting in it.

Now she uses her chair to climb on to get a better view of all that's happening out our front window! She loves it!

My sister, neice, Haylie and I flew to Utah on my dad's birthday to surprise him for his 50th! He was shocked to come out of his bedroom and have Haylie strolling down the hallway towards him. It was such a fun surprise!

There was a beautiful day with perfect weather while we were there so we decided to head to the Zoo for Haylie's first visit there!

Our flight back home got canceled so we got to stay in Utah an extra 2 days and watch General Conference there! I was a little bummed that we couldn't get home to see Jake but it was so great to have extra time for Haylie to be with the family.

We had oatmeal with little cinnamon hearts for breakfast. Yum!

I made a delicious casserole in a cute heart shaped dish with heart shaped toasted bread pieces on top for dinner.

I wrote a Happy Valentine's message for Jake on our bathroom mirror so he surprised me with painting this on our wall! Good thing we were planning on painting there soon. ;) It was so fun to see up on the wall! :)

Haylie learned how to fold her arms for prayers. She can tell when it's time for a prayer and she quickly folds her arms. They usually don't stay folded for very long but she's got the idea.

We're trying to get Haylie cooking for us but she just always seems to be laying down on the job. We'll have to keep working on that one.. ;)

She is, however, catching on rather quickly to using and talking on the cell phone. She'll be asking for her own by her 2nd birthday, I'm sure. ;)

12 Months

Haylie got a big girl carseat for her birthday! She loves being able to see so much more as we drive around. She still is rear-facing, I can't wait to have her turned around to see even more!

We were in Utah for Christmas so we had the opportunity to celebrate Haylie's birthday with so much family! At the Taylor Christmas party, we sang Happy Birthday to the many December birthdays we have in the family. (7 of them!)

Then Haylie got to dig into her own piece of cake! She was loving it and was quite a mess afterward.

We flew home on Haylie's actual birthday, the 27th, so we had a mini party with my family the night before we left!

That year went by so quickly and I can't believe Haylie is getting closer to being 2 years old every day! She is growing so quickly and is bursting with personality. She is so sweet and tender-hearted but can be so sassy! We love our Haylie Mae!

It seems strange that this was Haylie's first Christmas even though she was almost a year old. She missed last year's Christmas by just 2 days but it was so fun to have her so aware of what was going on!

This was at our Ward Christmas party where Haylie sat on Santa's lap for the first time! She didn't cry but she really wasn't sure about the big, bearded guy.

I only have the copy that the ward printed of the picture of Haylie on Santa's lap so I don't have a copy to put up on here. :(
This is Haylie holding the gift she got from Santa! She was just thrilled that it crinkled.

We flew out to Utah in time to be at the Taylor family party the sunday before Christmas. We're so glad we made sure we were there for that. We spending time with the family, watching the darling nativity scene put on by all the cousins, feeling the Spirit and enjoying some delicious food! The Taylors know how to party!
Haylie played the part of a sheep in the nativity. She actually sat up there good for a lot longer then I expected! Are my nieces and nephews darling?!

There are now 7 birthdays in December in the Taylor family (including Haylie now) so we make sure we always sing to all the December birthdays while the family is together!

Haylie got to enjoy her very own piece of delicious carrot cake! She loved being able to dig right in and feed herself.

December 23rd is another birthday that all the Taylors celebrate. Grandma Hansen's birthday is that day and there is always a big, gigantic party just for her! The family has grown so much that we had to have it in the church gym this year!
Haylie was NOT so thrilled about sitting on Santa's lap this time. Can ya tell? ;)

We spent Christmas Eve with the Garners. We went out to eat at a favorite Chinese restaurant and went up to see the lights at Temple Square! I forgot Haylie's stroller that night but Haylie's cousin Shelby was sweet enough to let us borrow hers. Shelby was far too busy running around, checking everything out to sit in a stroller anyway. ;)

The whole gang! I love being on the temple grounds. It's not quite as peaceful as being in the temple but there is certainly a wonderful spirit there.

Next, we went back to my parent's house to open our Christmas Eve jammies! Haylie got two new pairs and looks so darling in them!

We had such a great Christmas and loved being with our families this year. Last year wasn't quite as fun as Jake and I sat at home with me hugely pregnant and wishing we could be with our family. We love you all!

These are generally in order of how they happened. Sort of.
Haylie with a cute but very mini ponytail.

Jake had to go out of town on business so Haylie and I tagged along! We spent a few days in Chelan, WA where we had a beautiful view and the lake right outside our hotel door! Haylie and I wandered around Main street, checking out the stores and restaurants. Haylie loved when we would chase after the birds on the beach.
Here we sat out on the grass getting some fresh air and looking at the beautiful view of Lake Chelan.

We ate at the Blueberry Hill Restaurant before we drove home. It was this cute barn with the restaurant in the top. We ate on the balcony and had the perfect view of the blueberry vines and apple orchards. Haylie was not happy with the 4 hour drive we had back home but we made it through! It turned out to be quite a fun trip, though.

Now that Haylie is mobile, she has started exploring everything! She decided to empty out anything she could reach from the pantry as I cooked dinner. Her expression says, "It wasn't me.."

My beautiful girl. She actually kept her headband on for about an hour and a half that day. Shocking!

My family came to visit at the beginning on November. Haylie was star-struck again to have Shelby around. It was so fun to have them all here and to have room for everyone! We had an early Thanksgiving dinner together, they helped us paint 2 rooms and we had fun just being together.

Grandma bought Haylie an early present here so we didn't have to travel with it when we visit in December. Haylie was starting to push the laundry basket all around the house, trying out her legs, so she needed a walker stroller to keep her moving!
Haylie decided she needed to help her dad put it together. :)

We had some friends over for dinner that night and handed out candy.

There's a very brief update of a few things we have been up to! We are so excited to celebrate Christmas and Haylie's FIRST birthday while we are in Utah with family! This year has flown by. We are so in love with our sweet and sassy Haylie girl!

I realize that I haven't posted a new blog since October. We really have been up to fun stuff since then but my computer has major issues and I'm not able to upload pictures onto blogger! And, really, how fun are my blog entries without some fun pictures of Haylie to look at? The answer is, not very! ;)
So, I apologize for the lack of updates. We are still alive and doing well up here in WA! We had a fun Halloween; 3 thanksgiving dinners in November; survived a 12 hour power outage; Haylie is pretty much walking and is saying "mama"; we have our Christmas tree, lights and decorations all up and we're ready for Christmas time!
I'll have to hop on Jake's computer soon to overload you all with the pictures I've snapped over the past few months. ;)
We miss our family that is far away and can't wait to see them for Christmas!

California and Disneyland!

For my "family reunion", we all met up in California and played!
The first day we got there we all relaxed in the hotel room and ate some yummy burgers and Haylie decided to start crawling right then in front of everyone! :) We headed off to Disneyland for the next two days! Haylie did great for being stuck in her stroller pretty much the whole time. I had no idea the accomodations that the Disney parks had for children until now! It was so great to have a place to go to feed and change Haylie.

We got to see Minnie! I was so worried that Haylie would be terrified as I walked up there but she LOVED Minnie!! It was adorable. Minnie was pinching her cheeks and getting her to smile so big.

I took this picture while we were waiting to watch the new World of Color show. The show was so great and I may have teared up in it a few times.. I love Disneyland! ;)

Disneyland, Day 2.
This is Haylie on the Monsters, Inc. ride. She also got to ride Pirates of the Carribean, Winnie the Pooh, Buzz Lightyear and Peter Pan. She never was scared but just sat so good taking everything in!

This is the stuffed animal that Uncle Tay won for her! She loves it. It's the mouse on Dumbo and I still can't remember his name! Does he even have a name in the movie? I dunno. Haylie is cute, though. ;)

That was such a fun trip to Disneyland but it sure is a different experience with babies in tow! I still got to ride all the "big girl" rides this time, last year I was pregnant with little one and couldn't ride very many.

Day four, we had a delicious lunch at Good Stuff and then we headed to the beach! It was a bit chilly but Haylie got to see the beach for the first time!

Sunday, we went to church at Heather's ward then headed back to their house for some yummy breakfast food and delicious tacos later for dinner. Haylie and Shelby got to play toys together and bonded a bit more. Haylie always looks at Shelby with this star-struck look in her eyes. (this is when we took that video of Shelby and Haylie together)

We made everyone pile on the couch to snap some photos because it isn't often that we all are in the same place together!

Our last day, we ate lunch together at Cheesecake Factory.

Haylie just decided to start crawling the first day of our vacation in California at the beginning on September! When we left home, she wasn't crawling but, when we landed in Cali and were all hanging out at our hotel room, she was! Here is a video of some of her first "crawls"! (ignore my high-pitched voice on both videos. I need to remember to not say anything when the camera is rolling! ;))

Shelby finally showed some interest in Haylie and Haylie just looked star-struck whenever she saw Shebly nearby. Pretty sure Shelby could have poked her in the eye and Haylie would have still looked in awe at her. ;) Such cute cousins! I'm pretty sure they're best friends already.

Taylor Family reunion 2010

I'm a little behind with posting about this but I had to share the cute pictures I have from the Taylor family reunion we had in August!
Haylie had a rough time on this visit. She struggled with all the chaos of being in an airport, flying on a plane, having her feeding and napping schedules interrupted, lots of different car rides, staying in a strange place and meeting sooo many new people! It was quite overwhelming. We got her doing better by the end of the trip and she started warming up to her big family! The Taylor cousins were so cute with her, they just wanted to play with her so much! We had a great time seeing the WHOLE Taylor family. It was so great to have everyone in the same place and to spend time with them all.

We returned home last night to a FRESHLY PAINTED HOUSE!!!

The painters had just begun a big apartment job a little while ago so they wouldn't be able to paint our house for a few weeks. We were so bummed! We left for California thinking that we would finally get it painted hopefully pretty soon after we got back. As we pulled up to our house late last night, I looked for our still ugly brown garage door and realized it was a different color!
The painters, without calling to notify us, came and painted! What a great welcome home present. :)
It was hard to tell what it looked like in the dark last night but we ran out in our pjs this morning to check it out. We looove it!

Haylie is sooo close to crawling!! I'm excited and frightened. ;)

Haylie loves to eat cantaloupe, watermelon and grapes in this nifty net thing and she gets to feed herself!

This is the first and only picture that I have of Haylie where you can see her cute little bottom teeth! I love it! No top teeth yet.

"what is this, mom?!?!" -My children WILL listen to Alabama and Vince Gill christmas tapes!! They're going to think I'm so old and so lame, probably. ;)

Wrinkled feet! We filled the bath up to Haylie's waist a while ago to let her splash and play in the water. She was loooving it! Her feet wrinkled right up from splashing in there for so long.

I get to see this big grin more and more every day. love my smiley girl!

Haylie has mirrored closet doors in her room. She digs that quite a bit! She enjoys giving herself a shy smile everytime I get her up out of bed and let her look in the mirror. ;)

We went out to eat at Budd Bay Cafe down in the Port of Olympia. The restaurant is right along the waterfront so we had to eat outside with the beautiful weather and gorgeous view.

Haylie FINALLY rolls over from back to tummy! It only took her 7 months to do it! ;) I had our baby play group at my house on thursday and I think Haylie was jealous of all the other babies crawling circles around her! She has been rolling ever since!

She is already trying to pull up on things. Crawling is over-rated, Haylie is going to move right on to running! ;)

We got the roof replaced the day we moved in and our new siding is all up so no more brown house and mossy roof!! yippie! The painters should be coming next week. It's like we got a whole new house on the outside!
I'm still working on cleaning EVERYTHING inside. Getting rid of cobwebs and dust, washing walls, disinfecting lightswitches and door handles and both of us working on cleaning the gross blinds. I can't believe people were living in such gross-ness. We can't wait until we can replace the carpets (we're not really diggin' the rainbow of colors that is going on.) and paint the walls. This house is just what we wanted. We are loving fixing it up and making it into our home.
We have lots of extra space now so family and friends are ALWAYS welcome to come stay with us! :)

I love this picture! This was Haylie laying and playing on the floor in her new room the day we got the keys to our house! She's so beautiful.

Haylie's colorful bandaids after her 6 month appointment and shots a few weeks ago. :( She's a tough girl, though! She weighed in at 17 lbs 5 oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. Both is the 75 percentile! She is healthy and growing!

Birthday WEEK!

Jake spoiled me and gave me a birthday WEEK!
He had to leave on a campout the evening of my birthday so he was making up for being gone. ;)
Monday, Jake came home with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Tuesday, he cleaned the bathroom for me. (my most dreaded house chore)
Wednesday, I got a box of See's DARK chocolates. Mm..

Thursday, Jake bought me the book "The Hunger Games" - loving it so far! I haven't gotten too far yet, I'll finish once all this moving craziness is over.

And Friday, my actual birthday-day, Jake made me waffles that morning and then watched Haylie while I got to get a massage! We went out for lunch that afternoon before Jake headed off to his campout.
I went to my friend, J's, baby shower that night. She is my birthday twin! All our friends sang Happy Birthday to us at the end of the shower. Thanks J for sharing your day with me!

Busted!!

Haylie was napping on the couch the other day and I noticed that she was starting to stir and wake up. I went in the other room to put something away and realized that Haylie was quiet. She is usually quite vocal when she is awake so I went to see what she was up to...
This is what I found. She got her hands on the baby monitor. What a cute little stinker. ;)

Look at those beautiful blue eyes and CURLY hair! I hope it stays curly. This was one of the last times she took a bath in her little tub on the kitchen counter. It was like a tornado and a hurricane hit when I was done bathing her so we moved bath time to the big tub.

Haylie loooves her daddy! She always has so much to talk to him about.

Hahhaah I can't help but laugh every time I see this. We went running and it was a bit chilly so I put her BYU beanie on. When I pulled it off, this is what her hair was doing! Talk about a baaad case of hat hair.

Yeah, she can pretty much hold her own bottle. Skills, baby, skills. There isn't anything in it but I wanted to see if she could handle it herself. Very tempting to just hand her a bottle at feeding time.. ;)

Temple trip and a pretty dress

Jake and I made the long trip to the temple a few weekends ago, with Haylie in tow. It was so great to get to the temple. I love the temple!
Jake went in to do a session while Haylie and I hung out on the temple grounds.

There is a neat gardens area with a trail through it that we strolled through. Here is Haylie in her stroller with the temple in the background. You can barely see it but it's there! It was such beautiful weather that day.

Then it was my turn to go in and do some names for initiatory. I almost had us leave before I went in because I was feeling anxious to get back home. I am so glad that I went in. I love feeling the spirit so strong while in the temple and it was wonderful to be reminded of the blessings that I have through being an endowed member. We're truly blessed to be an eternal family.
We made it back home 9 hours later but it was well worth the trip. :)

Aunt Kelly bought Haylie this adorable dress before she was even born. It is so adorable! We had to snap some pictures of her in it.

My mom came to visit in May to keep Haylie and me company while Jake went on a campout. It was so great to have her here! We planned an outing for everyday she was here. We went on a few errands, shopped at the mall, ate yummy food and played lots! Thanks for keeping us company, momma!

She loves sitting up like a big girl. She'll be sitting up on her own in no time!

Haylie goes crazy for anything that crinkles. She was having a great time playing with a bag of sun chips!

Since Haylie loves sitting up and seeing what is going on, I figured a Bumbo would be a good investment. She loves it! It has helped her in finding her feet lately. :)

Isn't she adorable?! Don't you love the stack of dirty diapers in the background? ;)

Exersaucer!! I didn't think Haylie would be old enough for this for quite a while but this girl loves her toys! She is always wanting to stand up on her own two legs so I figured she would do well with this. She loves being surrounded by so many toys and does well in manuvering herself in a circle to be sure to play with each and every thing!

Haylie is 5 months old now! Time is flying. This girl must have a lot of the Taylor genes because she just cut her first tooth!! I'm so excited but also freaked out! #1- I don't want to get bit by a little razor-sharp tooth and #2- it is making me realize that she really isn't going to be a little baby forever! It is fun to see her learn and change but she won't always be a baby! I do love seeing her grow though. :)
I packed our first box to begin working towards our move into our new house July 1st! Wish us luck! The invitation is still open for anyone who wants to fly out here to help! ;)

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day. Jake made it just perfect for me.

We ran off to 9:00 church that morning where Jake spoke in sacrament meeting and told everyone how amazing I am. (kidding! ;)) He did an amazing job.

Haylie was well behaved in church and took a long nap in my arms during Relief Society so I could sit and enjoy the lesson. What a sweetheart.

We then came home and Jake made us delicious guacamole and beef enchiladas. Dinner was so yummy!
I opened my Mother's Day card and gift from "Haylie". I think dad helped pick it out for me. ;)

You can see my gifts in the first picture. I got the blue shirt I'm wearing (Jake picked it out! He does quite well with that kind of stuff!), dark chocolate Rasinettes (Mm, dark chocolate.), a 4-cup measuring cup and potato scrubber (I know, not very exciting but I've been needing both of those things for a while!). I got spoiled by my two favorite people!

Then, Jake even made us homemade oreos! I requested that we color the frosting different Spring colors so they had light purple, green and pink filling!

The weather was so awesome that day so we went out for a walk and delivered some oreos to a lady in our ward. It was the perfect end to a perfect Mother's Day!

I feel such great joy in being a mom. I love seeing Haylie grow and change every day! I am so blessed that I can stay home and care for her. It isn't always easy but I wouldn't want to do anything else. I love my Haylie girl!

We got to meet the world champion arm wrestler, Steve Phipps!

He's a member of the church and speaks to youth about setting goals and being the best person you can be. A guy in our ward works with him and asked him to come speak to our ward. His message was great and very inspiring.

Steve brought his arm wrestling table so there were several wrestling matches at the end of the night! Jake and his friend (the old scoutmaster) arm wrestled each other.

Jake was pulling so hard and Steve was just standing there looking at him. Jake said he'd have better luck arm wrestling a car. ;)

So, obviously Jake lost this one.

Here's my monthly overload of pictures for everyone! ;) that is what it feels like, at least.
Haylie is now 4 months old and growing so fast!

4 month stats:

Weighs 15 lbs. 6 oz. and is 24 1/2 in. long!
She is still such a big talker and seems to be talking more everyday!
Can pass a toy from hand to hand
Still not rolling over and not too crazy about tummy time but is getting better at it
Does her yoga "boat pose", as Jake likes to call it. She stiffens her arms and legs out and tries lifting her head while growling. So funny and so random.
Likes to eat and taste anything she gets her hands on
Loves sitting up and standing (both with assistance still, of course), she's so strong!

I could go on forever bragging about the little things she does! But, I wont. ;)

Uncle Tay came to visit!

My parents went out of town so Taylor flew up to WA to visit us this past weekend!

Haylie had her first play date with 6 other baby friends! :)

My ward has a ton of babies that are around the same age as Haylie and so we started a mommy/baby play group. This is a picture of our first play date! We were even missing the two little boys that are about the same age. I am so excited for these girls to play more and become friends as they all get older!

HAPPY FIRST EASTER, HAYLIE BUGS!

We sure enjoyed our Easter baskets and a wonderful Conference weekend!

She loves her Easter bunny! It's already crusty with slobber. ;)

Haylie is such a great helper when we change her diaper. She'll now hold her clean diaper for me until it's time to put it on. Such a wonderful helper. ;)

Nap time after 9:00 church! Haylie is supposed to be sleeping but she felt like playing (pulling) mom's hair while I tried to sleep. That's a fun new game!

I read in my baby book that she may be able to sit up with me just holding her at her hips so I decided to try it out! She did great! Work those abs!

It's never too early to read to your baby so, Jake and I figured, why not read to Haylie out of the best books?

We like to read our scriptures out loud to Haylie if she's awake during our study. She'll be an amazing scriptorian before she can even read! ;)

Haylie has her hands in her mouth aaaall the time now! She's drooling a lot, too. Her first teeth may be making their big debut in the near future! Hopefully not too soon, Haylie's a biter. ouch.

New discoveries and new clothes

Haylie "found" her hands a while ago and looves to stare at them, talk to them and now drool all over her fist as she takes a taste of this new discovery. I can't help but sit and watch her play with her hands. Below is Haylie playing and talking to her hands. :) She concentrates so hard and gets her lips pursed out as she discovers what her hands can do! She is starting to grab on to things more now, too!

This last picture is Haylie in one of her new outfits! She has so many sleepers that are darling but I wanted her to have more outfits to dress up in. It makes her look so grown up to put her in clothes like this!

Since Haylie is using her hands so much now, I decided that she needed a playmat so she can play with the hanging toys instead of having mom in her face with a rattle. ;) She loves it! Haylie sure enjoys talking to her toys as well as her hands. She's quite the conversationalist already!

Blessing Day

Haylie made it through her first trip! She did so great on both flights. We flew to Utah last week to visit family and to bless Haylie with family and friends around. It was such a good trip and we are so glad that we got to go.

Haylie met lots of family, including her cousin, Charlotte, who is only 3 months older than she is. Charlotte was ready to play with Haylie but Haylie wasn't very fun. ;)

We blessed Haylie on Sunday evening with our family and friends gathered around. She looked so beautiful in her white blessing dress. The blessing was so wonderful. We were able to feel of the great amount of love that our Father in Heaven has for Haylie.

We are so grateful for the many worthy priesthood holders in our families that were able to stand in the circle as Haylie was blessed.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We have been watching lots of Olympic events lately!

Haylie is learning how to reach for things and hold on to stuff. We have been working on it the past few days and she's catching on quite quickly! This is a picture of her "playing" with her rattle! Actually, I have to pry her fingers open wrap them around the rattle and then she shakes it around a bit, not realizing it's in her hand, before dropping it. So cute! We got a video of her doing it that I'll have to post on here later.

We're so excited to see our families soon and bless Haylie next sunday!

I'm realizing that packing for a baby brings my traveling anxiety up to a whole new level. ;)

Lots of pictures! I really should put these up more regularly as I take them so I don't have so many on one post all the time.. I'll work on it. ;)

Haylie likes sleeping on her belly on our chest and sometimes will wake herself up if I lay her down on her back to nap during the day. The day I took this picture, I really needed a break from holding her so I laid her down on her bobby pillow just how she lays on us and she slept for such a long time! Doesn't she look so comfy and relaxed? Too bad you're supposed to have babies sleep on their backs, I think she really enjoys sleeping on her tummy!

I started pumping to see if Haylie would take a bottle so we could leave her with family while we visit Utah and Haylie did great with it! Jake and I should be able to go to the temple and out on a date together!

Sometimes Haylie will take a binki. She's quite selective in when she'll allow it. ;)

This was another church outfit. Her tights don't quite fit just yet but they keep her legs warm!

Haylie is 5 weeks old now! I can't believe she's over a month old. She changes and grows everyday! She seems to be interacting more each day. She's sleeping pretty well-some nights are certainly better than others.

Jake and I are doing well, also. (Maybe some people are still interested in how we are doing) ;) We are adjusting to this whole new parenting thing and realizing how different our lives are now! Haylie has been such a blessing to have in our family. We are so excited to teach her the gospel and hope that we can be good examples to her.

Haylie's doctor appointment went well this week! She dropped down to an even 8 lbs when we left the hospital and now she is back up to 8lbs 14 oz! She's healthy and growing!

I find myself sometimes thinking how I can't wait until Haylie gets to different stages in her growing up and I'm afraid I'm going to miss out on cherishing what is going on now.

Our little Haylie Mae is now 2 weeks old! Crazy. We have her 2 week doctors appointment on tuesday so we'll find out how much she weighs now!

She is doing so great.

These are some fun things that we have experienced in these first 2 weeks:

-umbilical cord stump fell off after 5 days
-pooping on mom and dad while getting her diapers changed
-having her first diaper blowout while at church today :/
-holds her own head up so well
-smiles so big at mom and dad (or maybe she's just really gassy..) ;)
-hates pacifiers
-loves her baths
-snorts when she's hungry
-always has her pinky sticking out - she's so proper!
-she's the cutest thing ever and we can't stop staring at her and loving her all the time!

We had a wonderful Christmas morning here in WA. We are so blessed that we were able to spoil each other and were spoiled by our families! Jake and I ate blueberry muffins and sipped hot cocoa while we opened our wonderful gifts this morning.

Haylie still hasn't arrived yet. We're soo anxious to meet her! If she doesn't come soon, we have an appointment to be induced on the 29th.

Here's a quick post! I've been getting in trouble with a couple people for not keeping our blog updated! ;) I promise to update even more later.
These are some pictures from my baby shower that my friend threw for me at the beginning of November! It was such a fun time!

I knew my mom was flying up for my baby shower but I was surprised at the airport by my sweet sister and cute niece! I was so excited to see them and to be able to spend time with all 3 of them! Thanks for the best surprise ever! :)

There was a game for me to play at the shower. I had to do different "mommy" things in a certain amount of time to be able to get out the door on time! It was crazy and fun!

Haylie's pack 'n' play is all set up next to our bed, her shelves are set up, clothes are washed and folded, hospital bag is mostly packed... just about everything we can set up is done! Now for the real waiting game. We have weekly doctors appointments now and I'm showing signs of progression so we'll hopefully have Haylie here a little sooner than her due date! This last month certainly is becoming the hardest of my whole pregnancy. Am I done yet?! ;)
We really are so excited to finally see and hold our baby girl. :)

Carving Pumpkins!

We carved our pumpkins last night! We have had a busy week so we finally found time to carve them up! For some reason we didn't do it last Halloween so it was a must this year. We got everything set up and plugged in Hocus Pocus to watch while we carved and snacked on pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! It was a fun night for us.

Here's my belly at 30 weeks! I'm 31 weeks today, though. Time is flying by! We're so excited to get things set up for Haylie's arrival soon!

This is one thing we have all set up for our baby girl. Thanks Haylie's grandma (my momma) for the adorable pack 'n play!! This is where Haylie will be sleeping, right next our bed!

Jake and I had a friend Halloween party last saturday that was a lot of fun! I dressed up as a Labor and Delivery doctor and Jake was a pregnant lady! He's such a good sport for dressing up as a woman. :) He made up for having to wear pink by watching lots of football before and after the party. ;)

For FHE last night, we went to the pumpkin patch just down the hill from us and picked out pumpkins for us to carve for next monday's FHE! Jake and I each picked out our own and then we even got a little one for our Haylie bug! We're excited to carve them! I'll have to get pictures of that and put them up!

No, I'm not hiding a pumpkin under my jacket... ;) This is one of the few jackets that I can still zip up over my belly!

Last holiday season, we didn't decorate too much. Since we're spending every holiday here in our own apartment I decided that I wanted to decorate for the season a bit more! Here's our "harvest" wreath! It's so fun to have this greet us everytime we come home. :)

My friend, J, is throwing me my first baby shower on November 7th, I'm so excited! It will be great to have more things to set up and have ready for Haylie. I'm so grateful for the wonderful friends that I have here in WA. They are such a fun group of ladies!

Here's my belly at 26 weeks! I can't believe that I'll be in the third trimester in just a few days. It seems to be going by so quickly! I'm sure I won't be saying that when it comes down to the final few weeks.
I'm so excited for the holidays this year! I don't know if it's because we'll be spending them all in Washington where we'll have to create our own traditions this year or if it's because Haylie is due so close to Christmas time or maybe it's because we get to have our own Christmas tree this year! I'm sure it's a combination of manyyy things. I can't wait, though! The holiday season is such a fun and exciting time of year. :)
I have pictures to share from our visit to California but I need to get them on my computer! Hopefully I'll get to it soon!

Is everyone sick of seeing my slowly growing belly yet? ;)

24 weeks along now! I think Haylie is running out of room in there, she's moving cooonstantly it seems like. I love feeling her squirm around so often though. :)

Jake and I fly out to California on saturday! My sister, Heather, and her husband are blessing their new baby girl, Shelby, and the whole family is flying there for it! Of course we can't be that close to Disneyland and not go! We'll be playing at the beach and playing at Disneyland (I'll be playing on a limited amount of rides this trip due to this belly of mine..) for the next few days! Be back on thursday!

GIRL!

Jake and I are thrilled! It was so much fun to be able to see our little baby girl yesterday. We saw her cute little arms and legs and her little tiny hands and feet. She is soo wiggly! Even the ultrasound technician said that we had a super active baby on our hands! Hopefully she'll get all her wiggles out while she's inside me, I don't know if we'll be able to keep up with her! ;)

But she's healthy and strong and ready to meet everyone in December!

Taylor family reunion-Bear Lake 2009

Our little family picture below. Soon there will be 3 of us!

Jake and I were able to drive down at the end of June for Jake's family reunion at Bear Lake this year! We were so excited to have a fun vacation and to be able to spend a weekend with Jake's family! We always love spending time with them and seeing how much the nieces and nephews have grown!
We stayed in cute little cabins, cooked outside for every meal, battled off mosquitos, played games on the beach, walked through the sand barefoot, took family pictures, played in the cold Bear Lake water, wakeboarded (not me, though), rode in Cory's boat, got sunburnt and mostly just enjoyed being with family! It was such a fun weekend and we were sad to leave everyone! I don't know if it was pregnacy emotions but I couldn't stop tearing up when we were driving away! I feel very blessed to have such wonderful in-laws. Thanks for the wonderful weekend!

number 100!

This is my 100th blog post! What an exciting moment.

Sooo.. I've got a lot of pictures and events to share on here and I'm finally getting to posting them!

At the end of May, I flew to Utah for my brother's high school graduation! Congrats, Tay Tay! I'm very proud of him and I'm so glad that I was able to be there for that and to spend time with my family!

The next event was my 22nd birthday! My birthday was on a thursday and I was babysitting that day so we had my birthday celebration the next day. Jake took me shopping for my birthday to get some shoes and a new black purse! I got two pairs of flats from Payless for $30! Sweet. Then Jake took me to eat at Falls Terrace restaurant. This place is so yummy and has a great view of the falls as you eat dinner! Below is a picture of us outside by the falls before we ate.

After dinner, we headed back home where Jake surprised me with a party! He had invited a few of our friends to come hang out at our apartment and have snacks, ice cream cake (that my friend, Julina, made just for me! She's my birthday twin! Thanks, J!) and the boys played Wii while the women chatted! It was a lot of fun and our little apartment survived having that many people and children there! Thanks for making my birthday so fun, Jake!

I'm 15 weeks now! I'm not really showing much yet but my tummy is definitely starting to stick out a bit! Here's a picture of my sortof baby belly. I can't wait to show more! I'm loving being pregnant a lot more these days. It's so great to have my energy and appetite back now!

My sister's baby should be here any day now. I'm so excited to have another niece! :)

12 weeks!

I'm afraid that the majority of my posts will now be pregnancy-related. Hope I don't bore you all with it!
I threw up for the first time yesterday since I got pregnant. Boo. I've been feeling just fine today so far. Hopefully it was just a random thing and that it won't become a regular occurance! One more week and I'll be in the 2nd trimester so I'm hoping for more energy and to get some of my appetite back!
We go in for our next doctor's appointment on the 23rd and I'm going to ask for an ultrasound. We would love a picture of our baby to show off!
In non-baby news, it's my 22nd birthday on thursday! It doesn't really seem like my birthday month, it's like it just snuck up on me! It's so strange that we'll have our little baby to celebrate our birthday's with next year!
Sorry no picture again with my post. I'll try to be better about getting pictures to post!

10 weeks!

I'm 10 weeks along today and our baby is now the size of a prune! We had our doctor's appointment today and thought we would have an ultrasound but we didn't. We did, however, get to hear the heartbeat!! There really is a baby in there!
It was neat to hear the steady beat of my heart and then the rapid beating of the baby's heart. I can't wait until we can see it though and find out what we're having!
So, I'm super bummed that I don't have ultrasound pictures to show off to everyone yet but that's our update on our little baby!

I'm missing my family today!

Jake went for an overnight hike with some guys from the ward and so I've just been hanging out by myself yesterday and today.

I usually like having a night to myself but I am missing my family this time!
